Super Amazing Things

Keeping track of spectacular things I find, places I go, and some things I do.

WEEZER - PINKERTON show at the Gibson Sat Nov 27th was spectacular!  The first half of the show they played the best of all their albums in reverse chronological order.  The second half, they played Pinkerton from start to finish.  Amazing that years later, they sounded exactly like the album. Rivers is such a great performer.  The nerdiest of the nerds.  It was perfect.  They played the most epic version of “Only in Dreams” I’ve ever heard. The end of the show was great too. Rivers played the last song off Pinkerton on his acoustic by himself and the back of the stage opened up to reveal the city view.  It was beautiful.  I was there singing along remembering all the faces that surrounded me at the time.  This made me really happy.  I guess that’s why they called it the Memories Tour.  Of course I had to seal the memories with another memory..so I bought an expensive t-shirt. Totally worth it! Was a good time. Here’s a pic.  Can’t see too much but that’s Rivers up on the screen and the stage surrounded by a sea of people.    View high resolution
